Home Box office Inc is the premium television programming subsidiary of Time Warner and world’s most successful pay TV service, providing two television services - HBO and cinemax - to approximately 127 millions subscribers. Late 2012, the european division was planning its rebranding operations by coming out with a new slate of shows and wanted to reposition themselves as premium storytellers.

Shift the focus

By using the brand signs of HBO logo, we established a vibrant visual language that highlights the channel content and characters, in a sophisticated, cinematic and ownable way.

The brand device magnifies and shifts the focus on the footage, securing new contemporary messages, thus getting closer to the stories and the characters while simultaneously hinting at the process of storytelling.
